Limited and special editions are the order of the day, making each novelty a little more unique and adding a sense of urgency to the customer. Greubel Forsey Balancier Contemporain Final Edition

  • Greubel Forsey unveils the final edition of the Balancier Contemporain, a model that made history and helped consolidate the brand as an independent powerhouse.
  • First released in 2019, it’s now crafted from GF’s rarest material: stainless steel, and paired with different shades and finishes of blue.
  • It’s a limited edition of 33 pieces, which will be built and delivered exclusively in 2025.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 41mm White Gold Smoked Blue

  • Audemars Piguet quietly releases two white gold Royal Oak variants as Japan special editions.
  • These are two new colourways based on the 41mm time-only and chronograph models that resemble the Jumbo Extra-Thin Titanium/Platinum.
  • Both models share the same smoked blue Grande Tapisserie dial and will be available worldwide after an initial Japanese release.

Bell & Ross BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic

  • Bell & Ross presents an all-black ceramic BR-05 for a very stealthy-looking model, adding to the black-on-black colour scheme now characteristic of the brand.
  • Everything plays around the black tone, including the black Super-LumiNova with green emission and a black-tinted sapphire crystal dial.
  • This edition, similar to last year’s regular collection release, will be limited to 500 pieces.

  • Orient Star has unveiled two new Contemporary Collection M34 watches, featuring all-new luxurious dials: one in a unique green, and the other with a meteor-shower-inspired motif created using nanoparticle technology.
  • The black dial model is inspired by the Perseid meteor shower cascading across the night sky, and as the flagship model is limited to 160 pieces.
  • Both models represent over 70 years of Orient Star’s advanced Japanese craftsmanship, utilising dial finishing techniques never seen before.

  • TAG Heuer’s new vintage-inspired chronograph evokes the spirit of the Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer line, which ran between the 1950s and 1970s.
  • Limited to 500 pieces, the watch features subtle details such as the blue subdial quarters, though without the tide indicator of the OG.

  • The very popular Rivanera from Italian brand echo/neutra gets a new dial colour.
  • Following the black and grey dial offerings from 2024, now it’s also possible to choose a white dial.
  • The fine-grained, sandblasted finish gives the dial a matte appearance, which matches the finish of the titanium case for a very understated style.

  • This is a collaboration between the Glasgow School of Art and Paulin, and it is designed by recent graduate Beth Law.
  • It features bespoke typography printed in a subtle gloss lacquer on a brushed rhodium dial, giving the impression it’s embossed on the surface.
  • Housed in Paulin’s typical 35mm Modul case, it’s available for pre-orders, with a discounted price for GSA students and alumni.
  • Price: £375.

Schwarz-Etienne 1902 Réserve de Marche

  • The 1902 collection at Schwarz-Etienne just got bigger, with the introduction of two new models showing the power reserve on the dial.
  • Both housed in a 39mm x 10.9mm grade titanium case, they feature either a silver or 4N gold-coloured dial.
  • They are powered by the in-house calibre MSE 311.00, hand-wound with twin barrels that generate 120 hours of power reserve (visible on the dial at 1.30).
  • Price: CHF 19,500.

Casio G-Shock MRGB2000 “Kurogane-iro”

  • G-Shock has added a new addition to their premium MRG line inspired by the traditional Japanese colour of kurogane-iro.
  • This deep shade of blue-green comes from the tone that iron reaches when heated to make traditional Japanese armour and helmets.
  • The case materials reflect the metallurgical inspiration of the model, with a deep-layer hardening process and a green DLC coating applied to the titanium exterior.

Artisans de Genève Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ‘La Montoya’ Rose

  • Independent watch customiser Artisans de Genève continues its collaboration with former F1 pilot Juan Pablo Montoya with a new skeletonised Daytona model.
  • Several aspects are taken from previous editions: an open dial in the colours of Colombia, a fully skeletonised movement, and a forged carbon tachymeter bezel.
  • The open caseback allows a view of the 22k oscillating weight, skeletonised in a triangular shape with both satin and polished finishes.
